  Below is a list of trades people and businesses recommended by residents of Garden District or submitted by the person or business. This information was collected through a request sent to our neighborhood listserv (email group).  We present this information as a courtesy to the neighborhood.  Please know that this does not imply endorsement by the neighborhood of any particular products, individuals, or services.  Please do your own due diligence.

Per City Code, residents are responsible for the area abutting their property up to and including the gutter line and to the middle of the easement behind their property.  Code violations include: Tall weeds & grass over 6” on property and/or abutting areas (alley, easement, curb).   Obstructing and overgrown vegetation — vegetation on property or adjoining right-of-way, street, or alley that interferes or obstructs use of the street, sidewalk or alley for pedestrian or vehicular traffic.


Rocky Ostermeyer, 977-0483, is a long time Garden District resident and landscaper and irrigation specialist.   I have had him prune large mesquites, lay patios, design and repair irrigation systems, plant trees, etc. and Rocky always does a wonderful job.  Recommended Feb. 2020 by Meg and Lois on Lester and Anna Marie on Pima .

I would like to recommend Ray Acedo for your list of people who do yardwork. He is reliable, trustworthy, and nice as can be!  He does work for a lot of folks on Desmond.  Ray charges me and Ana $15 per hour. I forgot to ask him if he charges new clients the same rate, but I think he does. Jenny
